Skin Care Products for radiance and glow in winter
Skin Care Products for radiance and glow
Drab, dreary, dull? Does your skin need a winter pick-me-up? Well step away from those holiday brochures and stand back from the fake tan because this will do the job. Here's a five step guide to keeping your skin looking heathy, glowing and radiant this winter:
1. Exfoliate - this is an essential step towards a brighter complexion. It helps to get rid of dead skin cells which can clog pores and make skin look dull. Do one ot three times a week depending on your skin type. Creme de la Mer's The Refining Facial smells fresh and uplifts, the fine granules leave skin looking instantly smoother and brighter. £65, buy from cremedelamer.co.uk
2. Moisturiser - you don't wear the same clothes in winter so the same goes for your moisturiser. Skin needs much more replenishment. I'm currently loving Clinique's Turnaround Overnight Radiance Moisturiser, £34.00 and Turnaround Overnight Radiance Renewer, £32.00. It's new on the market and this range aims to boost the skin's natural exfoliation process thanks to a robust cocktail of ingredients including Chestnut Seed Extract. Available from Clinique counters nationwide.
3. Treat - give your skin some added va-va-voom, use a mask. Like vitamin shots for the skin, use one a week for instant boost and noticeable improvement to skintone. This winter, I'm using Elemis Exotic Cream Moisturising Mask, a blend of Mimosa and Honey, it's light yet creamy and leaves skin super-moisturised. But even better, it transports me to faraway shores thanks to its scrumptious smell. £30.70, buy from timetospa.co.uk.
If you're specifically looking to tackle wrinkles, lines and dryness, try the new 30 Day Youth Revolution by The Sanctuary. It's a month long treatment plan that includes a Glycolic Peel Mask and a serum. £22, buy from Boots stores nationwide.
4. Cheat - if you're like me, this will be your favourite part and this winter I am loving Decleor's new Life Radiance range which includes the amazing cheatastic Double Radiance Cream. Combine the two creams for immediate radiance and the essential oils make sure this glow is long-lasting. Plus this smells amazing. £45, buy from decleor.co.uk.
Origins VitaZing is one of my desert island product because if all else fails, this will make your skin look instantly glowing. £26.00, buy from origins.co.uk. And the product I can currently not live without is St Tropez Radiance Self Tan for Face. It's part of this summer's new Naturals range. The subtle hint of tan comes courtesy of VEGETAN, a 100% naturally derived active ingredient. It's instantly hydrating as well as skin-plumping thanks to pomegranate extract. My skin looks like its been on a two week holiday when I use this - brighter, glowing more radiant. Love this. £21.45, buy from st-tropez.com
5. Makeup - if all else fails, then fall-back to makeup. Topshop's Skin Glow is a lightweight multi reflective fluid much like Benefit's High Beam, except this costs just £10.00. Use on cheeks, eyes, brow bones and body. And one of my favourite products this season: Bobbi Brown's amazing new Party Shimmer Brick, £32.50. This is a sure fire way to get your party glow on plus it's got a cute martini glass and shaker embossed on it.
