Ahhh, the gift of relaxation: worth its weight in gold. So spoil your mum with a spa gift this Mothers Day. Tried and tested, and totally recommended is the new Clarins Melting Honey Hot Stone Massage which I’ve just had done at the Clarins Spa in Edinburgh’s House of Frasers on Princes Street (formerly Jenners). To say it’s amazing is an understatement and I left in a sort of massaged induced trance. Four indivdual shapes of stone are used on different parts of the body.

Elemis Eau De Parfum Exotic
A beautiful, mysterious accord of sensual exotic blends including Spicy Pink Pepper, Clove Bud, Ylang Ylang and Sandalwood.
This is the second fragrance from Elemis - read our review of their first one here. Where the original scent was fresh this one is musky and richer. But the spicy tones seem to drown out the other scents so whilst it a good fragrance, it's not as good as the first one.

Love this product. Its scent is strong and vaguely floral, but not over-powering and doesn't stay on skin so doesn't interfere with perfume. The consistency is really oily so not suited to all skin types. It soaks into skin relatively quickly, though not as fast as less luxurious body lotions. Skin felt hydrated day long.

This is a real luxury product - not only signalled by the price. We love the glass jar packaging it comes in. And the smell, WOW. Grains are medium rather than fine so your skin does feel noticeably softer and treated after use. But it does leave a layer of oily moisture on skin after use, which is helps to keep skin moisturised but not so good if your skin is prone to breakouts. Better for more mature or dry skin.

Elemis Gentle Rose Exfoliator
Hydrating Absolute of Moroccan Rose and smooth micro-spherical Jojoba beads very gently exfoliate, leaving skin silky soft to the touch.
This exfoliator has a gel-like consistency. The beads are pretty small and the gel isn't heavy with them. Skin is left feeling soft but it isn't dried out.This is a gentle exfolitator which could be used daily if required and is suitable for all skin types.
