What is going on with the brunette hair trend? Latest blonde jumping ship - Jennifer Aniston - shock horror. Yes, People magazine is reporting that Jen, pictured here with super scummy boyfriend Justin (Brad who) Theroux, is going to swap blonde locks for brown - read the interview here.

Personally I blame Kate and Pippa Middleton. Prior to the Middleton madness, it was fairly evens when it came to blonde v brunette (red-heads, I know you're probably feeling left out right now). But now, thanks to the Duchess of Cambridge, the former Kate Middleton, and her sister Pippa, an army of glossy-haired brunettes is moving into hair colour domination. Even famous brunettes like Angelina Jolie are making an extra special effort to generate hair envy with the shinest locks I've ever seen.

As a life-long blonde I'm intrigued by the trend, it's always funny how people make judgements based on hair colour. I'd love to try being a brunette but feel like a blonde to the soles of my feet - so speak. So are sultry sirens taking over from blonde bombshells? And would you switch your hair colour?
