Michelle Williams and Marilyn Monroe - Golden Globes
Michelle Williams and Marilyn Monroe - Golden Globes
Michelle Williams in midnight blue velvet Jason Wu and Marilyn Monroe in shimmering sequinned Norman Norell - two very different stars who each picked up a Golden Globe fifty year apart. Michelle won the Best Actress for film, My Week With Marilyn. She wore a blue Jason Wu dress, accessorized with the Golden Globes hair trend - a hair band (her's was a vintage Fred Leighton). Cute, fresh and funky, it was typical of the style the former Dawson's Creek actress has become famous for.
Fifty years previously Marilyn Monroe, the film star Michelle portrays, also picked up a Golden Globe - her second. And for the event, Marilyn wore a spectacular emerald sequined jersey by Norman Norell. Shimmering and sexy, it was perfect for screen siren Marilyn.
Michelle spent a year preparing for the role in My Week With Marilyn, including reading bedtime stories to her daughter in a breathless Marilyn voice for six months. Will Michelle take the biggest acting accolade an Oscar for her work? And what will she wear - a Marilyn Monroe inspired outfit? Probably not so here's is a trailer of the film instead.
