So in one of our earlier posts we were talking about stars and crossover between the worlds of showbiz. Sometimes it’s fantastic and others make you wish a licence for singing was mandatory. Well, step forward the fabulous Kate Hudson.

She’s starring in new movie, Nine, with a galaxy of stars including Oscar winners Nicole Kidman, Marion Cotillard, Penelope Cruz and Sophia Loren. But it’s romantic comedy fav Kate Hudson who’s got our attention.

In a new trailer just released, she’s looking very like our favourite bootylicious star Beyoncé in the Armani Diamonds ads but with a sixties twist. Wearing a silver and white fringed dress and knee high boots she shimmies, slides, struts her stuff and frankly looks amazing. And boy, can she sing. We’re not sure how much tweaking, editing or magic-making they had to do, but we're already wondering what her album would sound like.

Now, we loved Kate in Almost Famous as band groupie Penny Lane and we’ve had high hopes for Goldie’s gorgeous daughter ever since. But it seemed she was determined to dwell in the ever-so lame land of romantic comedies. We had ‘How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days’, ‘Fool’s Gold’, ‘You, Me And Dupree’ and ‘Bride Wars’. Not that we don’t love a good romantic comedy but enough already. Kate, just say no. After seeing this, we know you’ve got it in you. 

Nine is out in the UK December 18 and in the USA December 25.
