When Cate Blanchett appeared on the red carpet contest was over - she was our absolute fashion favourite from the 2011 Oscars. Although we saw a tweet describing it as barnacles, fans went wild for the Oscar-winning actresses lilac Givenchy dress and and we totally agree.

Gwyneth Paltrow went minimalist in gold Calvin Klein. The dress is stunning and looked like liquid when she moved. And although it's a look we've seen from Gwyneth before she looked radiant and gorgeous.

Newcomer Hailee Steinfeld is currently one of our best-dressed stars. And she didn't disappoint at the Oscars. She looked cute and chic in nude coloured ballerina dress by Marchesa. See her looking beautiful at the BAFTAS.

Black Swan actress Mila Kunis opted for a lilac dress by Elie Saab. She is proving a strong contender to Cate Blanchett's fashion crown because she constantly mixes up her looks. From the super chic green goddess look at the Golden Globe Awards to the funky red Alexander McQueen to this softer, more romanctic look, Mila is a true fashion chameleon and we love it.

Can you believe Penelope Cruz has just had a baby? The new mum looked glowing in a red LWren Scott dress and poker straight hair.

And Reese Witherspoon seemed to draw on two other actresses for her look: Angelina's emerald drop earrings with Julia Robert's black and white Valentino gown. And we've got to say, she looked like a true Hollywood star - a showstopper - in her black and white strapless Armani Prive gown.
